Position Summary:

Eminence is hiring a Senior Design Architect/Project Manager to assist the company in meeting its objectives and goals. As a Senior Design Architect/Project Manager at Eminence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our architectural vision for federal projects. Leveraging your extensive experience and expertise, you will lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that our projects align with the highest standards of quality, functionality, and compliance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable architectural solutions for federal facilities. Your role will encompass overseeing the design team, guiding them through complex projects, and taking the appropriate action to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with defined resources. Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality project design deliverables throughout all phases of development.
  • Develop and present innovative architectural concepts, including hand sketches, vignettes, and concept boards.
  • Select and incorporate in-budget materials and finishes that align with project goals.
  • Support design development by preparing studies, drawings, specifications, evaluations following applicable procedures, codes standards & contract requirements.
  • Independently produce detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, and finish schedules.
  • Manage and actively contribute to multiple projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in project team meetings and maintain clear communication with team members.
  • Present technical subjects competently.
  • Conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the architectural work.
  • Supervise coordinate provide technical direction and assign work to subordinate architects and designers as directed. 
  • Approve of key design documents, supplier drawings, data, material specifications, change orders…etc.
  • Prepare procurement subcontract requisition documents. 
  • Perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.
  • Resolve technical issues with customers construction.
  • Foster a work environment based on openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and job satisfaction.
  • Execute and manage terms of project contracts.
  • Partner with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Estimators and to ensure a complete scope of work is defined.
  • Monitor and prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines to be achieved.
  • Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with project superintendents by spending time on and touring assigned job sites.
  • Analyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Report and resolve customer concerns and/or grievances as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A BS or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Design Architect.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with federal projects.
  • Registered Architect in the United States.
  • US citizenship is required. 
  • Proficient with practices and procedures of NFPA, IBC, and UFCs; able to perform code reviews and generate code compliance reports/drawings.
  • Demonstrate graphic presentation skills. Understanding of engineering planning and control methods.
  • Proficient with Autodesk design suite (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) for 3D model content creation and design deliverables production in a multidisciplinary model environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Ability to manage onsite installations and monitor construction progress.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Mentorship capabilities, providing guidance on professional growth, and project-related skills.
  • Proficient with practices and procedures of NFPA, IBC, and UFCs; able to perform code reviews and generate code compliance reports/drawings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism, clear communication, and adherence to project timelines.
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
